Dr Sarah Gardner grew up in central western NSW before attending medical school in Newcastle. Following medical school, she worked throughout NSW and undertook gastroenterology training in Sydney and Canberra. Sarah was awarded her FRACP in 2017 before heading off overseas for further training.
Sarah underwent a Fellowship in liver transplant at St Vincent’s University Hospital in Dublin, Ireland in 2017/18 and also completed a post graduate diploma in obesity management from the University of South Wales whilst overseas. On her return to Australia, she accepted a post as the Liver Transplant Fellow at The Austin Hospital in Melbourne and completed her Masters of Science in Obesity and Metabolic Syndrome.
Sarah is skilled in colonoscopy and endoscopic procedures and has an interest in acute and chronic liver disease, obesity management, liver cancer and functional intestinal disorders.
